Last Friday, March 15, 2019, BSV Belsen von 1976 eV invited people to this year's general meeting in its clubhouse.
After the welcome and confirmation of attendance by club chairman Maico Marquardt, secretary Sandra Stolzmann read out the minutes of last year's 2018 general meeting.
Afterwards, Marquardt reported on the club's past year, mentioning, among other things, the large number of work services that were carried out by the members in 2018.
Of course, the report also included the organization of the B Cup final game on Friday, June 15, 2018, between SC Wietzenbruch 2 and 1. FC Celle 1.
The 2018 cup tournament, with the winning team “Buddy and Friends”, as well as the club day, which took place under the motto “Club (t) in Bergen” and in which BSV Belsen took part with 2 stands, were also mentioned by Marquardt . The chairman also did not fail to mention the various construction work that had been carried out on the BSV sports facility.
The chairman explained to those present that there are also some appointments coming up in the current club year. He mentioned the sports field flea market that will be held on Saturday, May 18th. The tournament weekend on the 15th/16th June, with the men's small field tournament on Saturday and the U14 small field tournament on Sunday.
The small-field soccer tournament as part of the city of Bergen's holiday pass campaign on Saturday, July 27th, 2019, as well as the Sparkasse soccer school at the BSV facility from Friday, August 30th to Sunday, September 1st, 2019 .
Of course, there will be some work services and construction work again this year, as the chairman explained in conclusion.
Following his reports, Marquardt was able to honor some long-standing members for 10 and 25 years of membership in the BSV. Unfortunately, some of those being honored were unable to attend the ceremony due to work or illness, so the chairman was only able to honor Hagen Rodehorst and Oliver Hohbein that evening for their 25 years of membership in the club.
Afterwards it was the turn of treasurer Bernd Stolzmann to present his financial report.
Stolzmann explained that the club's 2018 year ended with a positive result.
The auditors Edgar Poog and Sebastian Marquardt certified that the treasurer had flawless and clearly kept cash books and applied for the discharge of the treasurer and the entire executive board.
This was approved unanimously by those present.
This was followed by the report from Fabian Cohrs, the head of the football division. Cohrs explained the sporting successes and failures of the BSV football teams. He spoke about taking part in the over-60 Krombach Lower Saxony Championship on June 16, 2018 in Groß Hehlen, as well as taking part in the over-50 Krombach Lower Saxony Championship, in which they were eliminated in the second round.
Of course, the placement of the men's team in the 2017/2018 game series in the 2nd district class, as well as the current placement and outlook for the current 2018/2019 game series, was discussed.
At the end of his report, Cohrs announced that the BSV would announce a U14 junior team for play in the coming season.
Now it was the turn of division manager Dart Roman Aslett to give his report. Aslett explained briefly and succinctly that unfortunately they were unable to maintain the class due to departures in the 2017/2018 season and are currently in 6th place this season. He is confident that he will be able to score enough points in the remaining games to achieve a good midfield position in the league.
Following the reports, the election for the second auditor took place. Oliver Hohbein was proposed and elected unanimously.
This meant that Edgar Poog resigned as auditor and Sebastian Marquardt was promoted to first auditor.
The last items on the agenda were processed quickly by the meeting, so that the chairman was able to end the 2019 Annual General Meeting early!
